I hope this finds you well and leaves you with some positive encouragement for your week. After all, everything in your life can change in a split second.
Monday, January 13th, 2025.
Exactly one week since since Kyla Mae was in a critical vehicle accident that claimed the life of her dear mother, Misty Cribb, hospitalized her step brother Maddox with critical surgical needs, and left Kyla in critical condition with surgical needs and life threatening/altering medical conditions.
A week ago, our lives forever changed dramatically and will never be the same.
Today is a day that we would like to proclaim as
“Miracle Milestone Monday”
The first miracle milestone being that Kyla survived the crash. Science & medicine tells us that she should not have. But our God is Greater!
Second miracle, being that she she made it through the first 48 hours following the crash & transport to Chapel Hill. Third miracle, when Kyla’s breathing tube was removed she quit breathing. This moment changed us forever. Immediately we called out to God and prayed for the breath of life over Kyla. God answered and she started breathing.
We’ve had many hurdles & victories since then. But her care team wanted to make sure we understood and notate the victory of today. The first day & first week following an accident leaving you with life threatening conditions are the most important and difficult to face & overcome. Especially in Kyla’s circumstance.
Fourth miracle, Kyla has faced many challenges & obstacles but has stayed resilient and determined to fight the good fight, brining us to the fourth miracle of her making it 1 full week following the accident.
Today is a day of GREAT VICTORY and triumph! We will forever praise our Lord & Savior & Divine Physician, Daddy God, for hearing our cries, answering our prayers, and sparing the life of our precious girl, Kyla Mae.
Tomorrow, Kyla has a major, life altering, and very meticulous surgery for the injuries she is suffering from the wreck. We cry out with faith, and hope that we will face what will be the Fifth miracle of our Little Miss Kyla Mae Benton. We ask that you join us in victory today for the miracles God is working in Kyla’s life. And join in with us in prayer for her surgery tomorrow, God to repair to her nervous system (damaged nerves), ultimate divine healing to her whole body and the situation as a whole. There are many factors we will have to face still, moving forward.
I will forever be thankful to feel her reaching to grab my hand and to hear her whisper “I love you too Auntie”. God is with us, He will not fail nor forsake us.
